Our World

In San Diego, Cesar, Mariangélica was known as GK. In that corner of the Colombian Caribbean, where the sun is intense and life can be hard, dreams don't always find room to flourish. But GK dreamed. Among borrowed fabrics, dolls dressed in scraps, and butterflies she caught and then released, a story of love, resilience, and beauty began to take shape.

A Legacy of Colombian Craft

When life broke

In 2002, adversity struck hard: a bankruptcy changed everything. And in 2005, with nothing but their faith and their children to live by, Mariangélica and Yecid—her eternal companion and the love of her life—decided to start over. They left for Medellín with two suitcases and four of their five children , leaving behind the desert of La Guajira and the mountains of Cesar, to face an unfamiliar city with hearts full of hope.

Yecid was no ordinary man. In a land where machismo dictates destiny, he chose the opposite: to let go of his security to embrace the dream of the woman he loved. He transformed his life into that of a complete accomplice. And since then, after 27 years of marriage, they still walk together as lovers, reminding us that love can also be an act of rebellion.

That commitment gave rise to more than just a brand: it gave rise to a workshop that is a home. A space inhabited mostly by women who are heads of households and who, like Mariangélica, decided to rewrite their destiny through dressmaking, textile painting, and handicrafts. Some have been with us for more than ten years and are now an inseparable part of this family. Each garment carries not only threads in its stitches, but also stories: stories of struggle, second chances, and dignity.

Mariangélica Guerra is proof that even with two suitcases and a broken dream, you can still embroider hope. We are a family that learned to transform adversity into magic, the desert into inspiration, and love into a creative force.

Each dress is a memory made tangible, a fragment of memory that becomes the present. We dress not only bodies, but also stories, dreams, and hearts.
